Can Steem replace Advanced Custom Fields?
No. ACF is the field builder. Steem writes something that reads or writes the groups you already created — a block, a column, a small front-end form.
Will it create new fields?
The jobs on this page do not. If you want a custom post type with its own fields and no ACF, say that — that is a different plugin, and Steem will write one.
Do I need a WordPress site to try it?
No. The preview is a real WordPress in the browser. Download the ZIP when you want it on your own site.
Is the code mine?
Yes. Ordinary plugin ZIP. Read it, edit it, or hand it on. Nothing phones home.
